Private yoga sessions provide tailored instruction suited to your needs and goals. We will meet on zoom; perfect for those who live outside of the Chicgaoland area, prefer the privacy of their own home, or travel often.
We will meet virtually to create your practice, utalizing the space and props you have on hand. No props?! It’s ok, I’m pretty inventive, and many household items can be used if needed.
Half hour private sessions are ideal for those wanting to deepen thier meditation and/ or pranayama practice, focus on a asana or movement pattern that has become a challenge, work on modifications and adaptions for a recent injury, or a short Yoga Nidra. What do you want to work on?

In this class we will focus on a practice to gain mobility, strength, and flexibility in order to help rehab from injuries, aches and other pains that come with living a well lived life. Expect to focus on the breath and move at slower pace, holding many poses longer than what you’d find in a vinyasa or flow class. Some other movement modalities will be introduced too, such as self massage, somatics, and mobility work to help release impingements, aid in the healing process, and just help us feel better. Special attention will be given to what your currently working with, whether that’s low back pain, sciatica, frozen shoulder, plantar fasciitis, etc… This will be good for what ails you!

A Death Cafe is a group directed discussion of death with no agenda, objectives or themes. It is an open and friendly discussion group rather than a grief support or counseling session.
We will gather at Heaven Meets Earth Yoga to drink tea, share snacks, and of course eat cake, while discussing our feelings and thoughts regarding death. Sometimes our discussions are deep and heavy, sometimes they are more light hearted, but most always they are life affirming. After all, when we are speaking about death, we are discussing our lives and the lived experiences of our loved ones.
Death Cafes are always donation based; please pay what you can. No one will be turned away for lack of funds.
All profits go directly into production of the event.
Feel free to bring snacks to share if you’d like. Tea, Coffee and Cake will be provided.

This group meets Monday evenings on Zoom to discuss one book per month. We choose the books collectively and agree upon our reading goals for each week, with the intent to discuss the subject matter in relation to current affairs, our teaching practice, and our lives.
Some books we’ve read over the last three years:
-White Fragility: Why It’s So Hard for White People to Talk About Race
-My Grandmother’s Hands: Racialized Trauma and the Pathway to Mending Our Hearts and Bodies
-The Upanishads
-The Trauma of Caste: A Dalit Feminist Meditation on Survivorship, Healing, and Abolition
-The Bagavad Gita
